This is a pretty intimidating head-on view. Just
look at the BMW signature "nostrils" flaring. I think
the driver's nostrils may be flaring too!

You can almost see yourself in the reflection in the
rearview mirror.

Check out the great glossy finish on this black car.
Ninco's detailing is among the best.

The car looks great with the reflection of the curve
borders in it.

Take a look at the detail Ninco put into the BMW's
cockpit! Gauges, switches, displays....looks like the console on
the starship Enterprise.

My Review: Let me start by saying I don't have any timing software running on my track, which is a small 16' figure 8 (Scalextric Circuit 2). I also remove any traction magnets from my cars to give them the tail hangin' sliding handling I love. Ninco equips this car with its more powerful NC-2 motor. It's obvious from the moment you pull the trigger that there is a motor upgrade in this car. It's too bad I don't have a long straightaway to see what the car is capable of. Acceleration is abundant as well. It doesn't take much to get this car from curve to curve. But you gotta watch it, to see more straight speed means you pay with cornering instability. The worst case is the car rolls over. I do that too much. This car will wipe up the track with competition from normal Scalextric cars (like the Mercedes CLK GT1). I think it could hold it's own against Fly cars. It seems faster than the Fly Panoz Esperante GTR-1 that I have, but I think the Panoz takes the curves better. The power band with the NC-2 is a little tricker to get used to. When I get timing software running on my track, and hopefully expand it a little, I'll be back with the results. |
